Job summary

EnergyLink International is seeking a Project Coordinator to support Project Managers on industrial projects. You will coordinate drawings, material pricing, subcontracts, scheduling, and interface with customers.

Ideal candidates have a Diploma or technical certificate, 5+ years in industrial construction, and strong organizational skills; ProCore knowledge is a plus. EnergyLink emphasizes teamwork, safety, and quality execution.

Qualifications

• Diploma or technical certificate; post-secondary engineering preferred.
• Ability to read project and building drawings.
• Minimum of 5 years experience on industrial projects; construction experience a plus.
• Manufacturing experience is an asset; design-build and general contracting experience helpful.
• Self-starter with teamwork; proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and scheduling software.
• Knowledge of ProCore is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers in executing projects with engineering, drafting, purchasing and construction teams.
• Coordinate material takeoffs, pricing, erection subcontracts, and drawings reviews.
• Schedule activities and interface with customers.
• Work with design team to ensure engineering meets project specs.
• Track progress, safety metrics, and communicate issues to Project Manager.
• Support in developing short- and long-term project strategies and schedules.
• Maintain ISO quality and safety policy adherence.

The Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Project Managers in the execution of their projects. The Project Coordinator must work closely with engineering, drafting, purchasing and construction members of the project team including external suppliers of products and services where applicable. This position is also involved with coordinating material takeoffs, material pricing, erection subcontracts, drawing reviews, scheduling, and participating in the interface with customer.

Structure

The Project Coordinator reports directly to the Director, Projects with day-to-day direction provided by Project Managers on their specific projects.

Position Overview

• Works with the design team to ensure the engineering design meets the requirements of the project specifications


• Coordinates resolution of design issues that arise during execution of the project


• Coordinates Subcontractors and Vendors under the direction of the Project Manager


• Assists in the development of short and long-term strategies and schedules for current projects


• Tracks, monitors and communicates progress and issues to the Project Manager


• Tracks, monitors and reports on Safety stats to the Project Manager


• Operates within ISO Quality system and company safety policy in all phases of assignments


• Safety, Cost, Schedule and Quality related to work executed


• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• A Diploma or technical certificate. Post-secondary qualification in Engineering preferred


• Good ability to read project and building drawings.


• Must have minimum of 5 years prior experience working on industrial projects. Some related field construction experience preferred


• Maunfacturing experience is also an asset


• Design build and general contracting experience is an asset.


• A self-starter with experience working in a team environment


• Proficient using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project scheduling software


• Knowledge of ProCore is an asset
