This is a hybrid role with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.

Your role

Reporting to Proximity Strategy and Operations leadership for Radio-Canada OHdio, you organize, plan and manage tactics for enhancing live events and driving audience engagement for the OHdio platform in alignment with leadership’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities:

  • Pitch and operationalize community initiatives tied into linear and non-linear content, ensuring they are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Co-ordinate, review and adjust as needed public engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure ongoing communication with on-air production teams and other relevant departments to develop collaborative opportunities and enable innovative public engagement initiatives.
  • Help implement streamlined, efficient and sustainable business processes.
  • Provide input to planning documents.
  • Manage assignments for your allocated resources, including onboarding and training new hires.
  • Supervise digital editors.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a communications-related field (or acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Proven editorial expertise
  • Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in a similar role
  • Ability to co-ordinate operations for various work groups
  • Creative, open-minded approach to finding the best solutions to achieve goals
  • Ability to be a self-starter
  • Strong ability to communicate and persuade with tact and diplomacy
  • In-depth knowledge of the audio and radio industry
  • Excellent command of spoken and written French
  • Please note the work schedule includes at least one day on the weekend
