MTE Consultants Inc. in Kingston is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our Building Engineering Division and support structural rehabilitation and building envelope restoration projects.

You will work with CAD staff, assist with tendering, site reviews, and client communications, contributing to project budgets, schedules, and quality. This is a collaborative, employee‑owned firm offering competitive pay, benefits, RRSP matching, and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality structural rehabilitation and building envelope restoration projects.
• Assist with building envelope performance testing, surveys, and field evaluations.
• Undertake site reviews to monitor conformance with specs, budget and schedule.
• Assist with tendering, bid summaries and recommendations.
• Prepare specifications and coordinate with CAD staff on details.
• Administer construction contracts and prepare payment certificates and change orders.
• Liaise with contractors, clients and manufacturers for inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Work within a project team to deliver top quality structuralrehabilitationand building envelope restoration projects, including replacement ofroof systems,windows, doors,skylightsand curtainwall systemsto clients
• Assistwithbuilding envelope performance, such as air/water leak testing, thermographic survey, High and Low-volt ELD scanning andcontributing to the field evaluations as well as technical writing, preparation of quantities,and budget estimates
• Undertake site reviews of construction projects to helpmonitorconformance with specifications, quality of workmanship, budget, and schedule
• Assistwith building envelope restoration projects including air barrier repairs, insulation and building performance improvements, claddingreplacementand repairs, to clients
• Assistwith the tendering process, preparing tender notifications, attending tender meetings, preparing bid summary and recommendations
• Help with preparing specifications, including editingtechnical sections and working with CAD staff to sketch details
• Assistwith administering construction contracts, including preparing CCDC contracts, preparing payment certificates,changeorders, certificates for substantial performance, building permit applications
• Liaise with contractors, clients, and manufacturers toassistwith responding to project related inquiries
• Participate in project meetings with clients and contractors and contribute to presentations and prepare meeting minutes
• Contribute to development of internal practice systems within the Building Restoration group
• Participate and contribute to internal and external technical training sessions
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technician, Architectural Technology, or Architectural Technicianrequired
• 1-3years of related work experience (including co-op experience)
• Proficientuser ofAutoCAD
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing and presentation skills
• Excellent multi-tasking skills and adaptability to shifting priorities
• Strong organizational skillswith minimum supervision
• On occasions must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Working with colleagues and sub-consultants
• A team playerapproach to problem solving
• Experience working at heights
• Candidate willbe requiredto work from suspended work platforms and lifts from time to time
• Required to have access to avehicle andavalid driver’s license for travel to project sites.Mileage will be reimbursed for work related travel

The followingadditionalqualifications are viewed as an asset and may contribute to the final decision between candidates:

• Thermography – Level 1 or Level 2
• Experience with IO CAD Audit is an asset

Salary Range

$52,000 – $65,000 per year base salary, plus benefits

Annual Salary will be based on individual education, qualifications, and relevant work experience.
