Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Assist with procurement activities, including purchase requisitions and material procurement.
  • Support project reporting with data collection, dashboards, and reports.
  • Maintain project documentation, logs, and project records.
  • Coordinate drawing reviews and document control with stakeholders.
  • Support material tracking, vendor coordination, and logistics for timely execution.
  • Assist with schedules, progress tracking, and performance reporting.
  • Utilize SAP for purchase requisitions and project documentation.
  • Review drawings and models using Navisworks and other digital tools.
  • Coordinate field activities with piping, mechanical, quality, and construction teams.

What is the Opportunity?

The Project Coordinator is a highly motivated self-starter who supports various aspects of project execution based on business needs. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across multiple teams. Working closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Superintendents, Engineering, Procurement, and Project Controls teams, the Project Coordinator plays an important role in supporting the successful delivery of industrial construction projects.

Please Note:

This is a site-based postion based in Fort Saskatchewan.

  • The schedule consists of 10 consecutive workings days, with 4 consecutive days off. Hours of work are set at 10-hours per day.
What You'll Do Here:
  • Assist with procurement activities, including creating and tracking purchase requisitions and supporting material and equipment procurement processes.
  • Support project reporting activities through data collection, tracking, analysis, and preparation of project dashboards and reports.
  • Maintain project documentation, logs, registers, and filing systems to ensure accurate project records.
  • Coordinate drawing reviews, document control activities, and distribution of project information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support material tracking, vendor coordination, and logistics activities to ensure timely project execution.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of project schedules, progress tracking, and performance reporting.
  • Utilize SAP to support project administration functions, including the creation and management of purchase requisitions and related project documentation.
  • Support project teams in reviewing drawings and construction models using Navisworks and other digital construction tools.
  • Assist piping, mechanical, quality, and construction teams with coordination of field activities and project deliverables.
What You Bring to the Team:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Basic knowledge of Navisworks or other 3D model review software is considered an asset.
  • Exposure to piping, mechanical, or industrial construction projects is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with project controls, procurement, document control, or construction coordination processes is considered beneficial.Willingness and ability to travel and support site-based project execution as required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong ability to collaborate and communicate with large, diverse project teams.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Service-oriented mindset and adaptability to changing project needs.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reporting, tracking, and spreadsheet management.
  • Experience using SAP, particularly for purchase requisition creation and procurement-related activities, is considered an asset.
