Job summary

Allnorth Consultants Limited is seeking a Project Coordinator to support on-site construction activities in Ontario on a rotational schedule. You will work closely with Project Managers, contractors, and technical teams to ensure work is performed safely and efficiently according to project requirements.

Ideal candidates have hands-on site coordination experience, strong communication skills, and a Bachelor’s or diploma in engineering, construction, or related discipline.

Our Ideal Candidate

Allnorth is currently looking for a Project Coordinator to support our project delivery and construction activities in Ontario. This is a site-based opportunity requiring the successful candidate to work on a rotational schedule.

The ideal candidate will bring hands‑on site construction coordination experience and be comfortable working directly with construction contractors, Project Managers, technical teams, and other project stakeholders in an active construction environment.

You will play a key role in coordinating day‑to‑day project activities and helping ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.

A Day in the Life

As a member of the project team, you will work on site and collaborate closely with Project Managers, construction contractors, technical teams, and client representatives to support the successful execution of construction activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate day‑to‑day site and construction activities to support successful project execution.
  • Interface directly with construction contractors and Project Managers to communicate priorities, resolve issues, and maintain alignment on project requirements.
  • Support construction coordination to ensure work is completed in accordance with design specifications, standards, contractual requirements, schedules, and safety expectations.
  • Track project status, schedules, deliverables, action items, and changes and provide timely updates to the project team.
  • Assist with project documentation, document control, procurement, contract administration, reporting, and change management as required.
  • Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to address field questions and support the resolution of site issues.
  • Participate in site meetings and maintain clear communication between contractors, Project Managers, clients, and internal teams.
  • Support the delivery of projects within established schedules, budgets, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project coordination, communication, and overall team performance.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in project coordination, construction, engineering, or a consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated site construction coordination experience is required.
  • Experience working directly with construction contractors and Project Managers in an active construction environment is required.
  • Ability and willingness to work on site in Ontario on a rotational schedule is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma relevant to engineering, construction, project management, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, project documentation, schedules, and contractor coordination.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with contractors, clients, Project Managers, and technical teams.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and timelines.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to respond effectively to changing site and project requirements.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification or experience is considered an asset.
