Job summary

FLINT Corp. in Canada seeks a Project Controls Coordinator to support cost control, forecasting, progress measurement, change management, and reporting across construction, maintenance, and turnaround projects. Based primarily in the office, you will collaborate with Project Managers, Operations, Finance, Estimating, and field teams.

Occasional travel to project sites may be required to support start-up, reporting, reconciliation, or closeout activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in project controls, cost control, or project coordination.
• Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, power, mining, maintenance, or turnaround projects preferred.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft 365; exposure to P6, Power BI, SAP, or InEight is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within Canada.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain project control structures, including WBS, cost codes, budgets, commitments, purchase orders, forecasts, and reporting requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collect, validate, and reconcile project cost and progress data including labour, equipment, materials, subcontractors, productivity, earned hours, accruals, and estimate-at-completion.
• Prepare weekly and monthly project controls reporting, analyzing budgets, actual costs, commitments, cash flow, forecasts, variances, risks, opportunities, and potential cost or schedule impacts.
• Support change management, procurement, subcontractor administration, progress billing, and project closeout by maintaining accurate records, monitoring commitments, validating costs, and ensuring approved changes are reflected in project controls.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, schedulers, Finance, Procurement, field teams, clients, and subcontractors to resolve discrepancies, maintain accurate project records, and support consistent project controls processes and reporting.
