Job summary

TESC Contracting is seeking a Project Controls Manager in Canada to oversee cost control processes and monitor project performance. You will lead a team of cost analysts and administrative staff, track budgets, forecast costs, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.

This role emphasizes continuous improvement in cost management across project lifecycles, with a focus on risk assessment, reporting accuracy, and collaboration with project teams.

Qualifications

  • College diploma in Finance, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of cost control experience within the construction, mining, or engineering industries.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of Jonas software is considered an asset.
  • Experience working with trade union collective agreements is an asset.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Analyze historical cost data to identify trends and optimization opportunities.
  • Document lessons learned and apply insights to future projects.
  • Recognize and celebrate team achievements and foster a positive culture.

The salary range for this position is $100,300 to $118,000. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
