In this role, you will:
  1. Be an emerging leader within the Waterfront PMO.
  2. Assist the PMO team of approximately 15 individuals responsible for Cost Control, Scope Control, Change Control, Risk Management, Earned Value Management, Project Communications, and Project Controls Reporting functions.
  3. Work with the Financial Controls Team to enable accurate project forecasting, including creating financial models based on various scenarios for analysis by senior team members.
  4. Compile data from diverse sources into clear, accurate reports and provide detailed analysis to support project decision-making.
  5. Assist in implementing and managing PMO business and process improvement initiatives.
  6. Support Project Delivery Teams in identifying and mitigating risks and issues using project performance measures.
  7. Develop reporting dashboards and monitor project performance against agreed measures.
  8. Support review of proposals and RFPs against operational and project requirements, controls, and alignment.
  9. Assist Project Delivery Teams with identification and management of performance measures, trend analysis, and communication of performance.
  10. Support project close-out activities and reporting.
  11. Identify and implement process and performance improvements.
  12. Liaise with Business Improvement and Quality Management teams to ensure alignment of performance measures.
  13. Support the PMO and Project Controls manager in project control, reporting, and communication activities.
The ideal candidate brings:
  1. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  2. 2+ years of relevant experience.
  3. A keen ability to think critically and solve problems methodically.
  4. An interest in Project Management and a willingness to learn and develop towards becoming a Project Management Professional (or equivalent).
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with a variety of people at all levels, including executives, customers, and subcontractors.
  6. A bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  7. A self-starter, flexible, and able to work under pressure.
  8. Eligibility for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.
