Job summary

Alstom is seeking a Project Configuration & Change Controller in Toronto, ON. You will maintain configuration item accuracy, organize CCB meetings, and generate KPI reports to drive improvements.

The role requires an engineering degree and 5 years in a similar position, with strong collaboration and communication skills and experience with CM tools such as SharePoint and MS Office. This is a full-time position with a competitive CAD salary and benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Ensure configuration and change management processes, tools, policies, and procedures are followed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Update and maintain the Configuration Management Plan and related documents.
  • Plan and organize Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings.
  • Provide configuration and change management reporting and KPIs.
  • Identify and define configuration items and support stakeholders in using CM tools.
  • Publish configuration baselines and manage change requests with proper documentation.
  • Coordinate and engage all relevant stakeholders on configuration and changes.
  • Suggest improvements based on KPI reporting.

Could you be the full‑time Project Configuration & Change Controller in Toronto, ON, we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering expertise in a transformative and dynamic field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.

You’ll play a key role in keeping the project configuration under control throughout its lifecycle and managing the change process. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including engineering, system assurance, and project management teams), coordinate configuration and change management activities, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of maintaining accuracy and completeness of configuration items and organizing Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, but also generate and maintain key performance indicator (KPI) reports to drive continuous improvement.

We’ll look to you for:
  • Ensuring configuration and change management processes, tools, policies, and procedures are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle
  • Updating and maintaining the Configuration Management (CM) Plan and associated documentation
  • Planning and organizing Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings
  • Providing configuration and change management reporting and indicators
  • Identifying and defining configuration items
  • Supporting team members in the use of configuration and change management tools
  • Managing and publishing configuration baselines
  • Collecting and verifying Change Requests and ensuring changes are well-documented
  • Coordinating and engaging all relevant stakeholders regarding configuration and changes
  • Suggesting improvements to the configuration and change management process based on KPI reporting

Compensation

The expected compensation for this role is $75,000 - $95,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
