Job summary

BBA Consultants seeks a project assistant to support our technical teams by drafting and revising documents and correspondence in English and French. You will ensure quality, consistency, and clarity of deliverables while collaborating with engineers, biologists and technicians.

You will contribute to project documents, coordinate formatting, and help manage proposals and general office tasks in a hybrid work environment that blends office and remote work.

Qualifications

• DCS, DPS or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least five (5) years of experience in a similar position.
• Excellent ability to revise texts in both English and French.

Responsibilities

• Revise documents such as specifications, estimates, reports and proposals, ensuring accuracy of cost tables.
• Gather and provide information to prepare project documents.
• Improve text structure and content understanding; identify ambiguities.
• Format documents using templates and standards, including client PowerPoint slides.
• Coordinate with printing and mailing service providers.
• Occasionally coordinate internal mandates and manage proposals.
• Assist with routine office management.

The Experience You Bring

• DCS, DPS or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• At least five (5) years of experience in a similar position
• Excellent ability to revise texts in both English and French
• Proficiency in office software: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe
• Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
• Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
• Asset: experience in the environment, the consulting engineering industry or in any other professional services field
