Overview

HUB Office Furniture INC. is a fast growing, design oriented commercial furniture company looking for a high performing Project Assistant. We are a small team who works together to get the job done – your contributions are visible and highly impactful.

As Project Assistant you are responsible for a range of activities aimed at ensuring sales orders are fulfilled to meet (and exceed) client expectations. You will work alongside our internal team, contractors, vendor partners, customer service representatives, and, of course, the client throughout the project cycle.

This is a full-time position at 37.5 hours / week, with some flexibility.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with all projects from initial client meetings, order specification and pricing, to presentations and quotes.
  • Work directly with clients on space planning, design, and finishes.
  • Develop product specifications, double-check specifications against plans, prepare specification order-entry utilizing electronic specification program.
  • Understand the project scope and the manufacturers and products that will best support the client's vision and needs.
  • Alongside the team, serve as a point-of-contact for dealer activities, services, orders, and individuals.
  • Use a people-first approach with client relations and act as the liaison with manufacturers.
  • Support maintenance of the HUB Sample Library.
  • Support business growth and development by staying on top of project opportunities within our market.
  • General administration assistance.

You have
  • Excellent time management skills with a strong sense of workflow, multi-tasking, prioritizing, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service; you are a champion of communication and organization.
  • Excellence under pressure; you love deadlines and manage your time accordingly.
  • Excellent intuition and creativity; you have a knack for reading between the lines and thinking differently when it comes to customer service.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.); must have a Driver's License and access to a vehicle.

It would be awesome if you had :

  • CAD, CET, Revit, or other design or specification program knowledge
  • Furniture industry or design experience; or
  • A strong interest in interior design or furniture
