Job summary

Kassen Recruitment is partnering with a project-driven organization in Quebec to recruit a Project Accountant who will support a major development. The role emphasizes project costing, reporting, and procurement support, with opportunities to influence finance processes and scale with the project.

You will work with finance and operations, travel to the Quebec project site as needed, and grow with the project's evolving needs within a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in project accounting or project finance.
• Experience within mining, construction, engineering, infrastructure, or other project-based industries.
• Bilingual communication in French and English.
• Experience with ERP systems and strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project costs, budgets, and expenditures to support effective financial management.
• Prepare project financial reports, forecasts, and analysis for finance and operations leadership.
• Track commitments, cost allocations, and project spending throughout the lifecycle.
• Support procurement-related accounting activities including invoice processing and vendor reconciliations.
• Partner with project managers and operational teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
• Assist with month-end close activities, reconciliations, and project reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, controls, and processes as the project develops.
• Help establish scalable finance procedures and best practices.
