Job Description

To provide assessment and treatment services including training and staff support in the delivery of behavioural services. This includes assisting the Program Consultant in designing, implementing, and monitoring skills promotion and behaviour intervention programs, working within Standards of Practice as outlined by the Ontario Association for Behaviour Analysis. The role also involves developing and delivering training for mediators, both individually and in groups, on principles and procedures of applied behaviour analysis, as well as conducting ongoing education workshops and seminars for community agencies and parents.

What must you have?
  • Undergraduate degree in Psychology and related experience or equivalent.
  • Current certification in First Aid and CPR.
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license, a vehicle, and willingness to travel throughout York Region and/or Simcoe County.
What else do you bring?
  • Additional experience and skills under ‘qualifications’.
  • Current clinical experience with applied behaviour analysis, especially relating to developmental disabilities, brain injury, dual diagnosis, or sexually inappropriate behaviour.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of ABA terminology and concepts.
  • Proficiency in Windows environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proven attendance record.
  • Understanding and adherence to safety policies fostering a safe, inclusive environment.
  • Ability to perform essential duties effectively.
  • Empathy and behaviors aligned with Mackenzie Health’s Commitment to Caring.
  • Modeling behaviors consistent with Mackenzie Health’s values: Excellence, Leadership, and Empathy.
  • Commitment to providing an exceptional experience for staff and clients.
Preferably, your profile also includes:
  • Training and experience in crisis prevention (preferred).
  • Fluency in French (asset).
  • Willingness to work at various Mackenzie Health sites, including satellite and off-site locations in York Region and/or Simcoe County.
