Job summary

Government of Manitoba in Winnipeg seeks an IC4 Economic Development Consultant 4 to lead the Indigenous Loan Guarantee Program (MILGP) within Indigenous Partnerships. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will oversee program delivery, stakeholder engagement and provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on Indigenous economic development.

Qualifications

• Experience in program management, customer service leadership, or a related field.
• Supervisory experience with proven ability to manage teams, resolve conflicts, and foster professional development.
• Experience working with loan guarantees or business financing programs.
• Experience in Indigenous economic development.
• Demonstrated cultural competency and awareness of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit histories, rights, and governance.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including experience working with or within government departments, Indigenous organizations or similar government structures.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and delivery of the MILGP and oversee the MILGP business development liaison team.
• Ensure high-quality service to applicants and manage stakeholder and partner engagement.
• Provide strategic advice to senior leadership regarding program delivery, emerging issues and opportunities related to Indigenous economic development.
