Job summary

Native Counselling Services of Alberta (NCSA) seeks a Program Manager for the Permanent Supportive Housing program in Edmonton. You will plan, coordinate and supervise staff to meet program objectives, reflecting the organization’s philosophy in all interactions with residents and the community.

The ideal candidate has deep Indigenous knowledge, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to navigate service systems.

Qualifications

• Upper-level knowledge of Indigenous communities, cultures and healing.
• Understanding historic trauma and colonization impacts on Indigenous people.
• Experience building relationships with service providers and community.
• Knowledge of child and family services, housing, and income support systems.
• Experience hiring and supporting staff within guidelines.
• Strong organizational, administrative and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise activities and services of staff to meet program objectives.
• Reflect the program philosophy in interactions with staff, participants and community.
• Promote resilience of individuals and families and support staff in daily work.
