  • Build strong relationships with internal partners, helping them navigate The Studio’s ways of working while setting clear expectations around scope, roles, timing, feedback and approvals.
  • Bring the right people together at the right time, connect work across teams and channels, and ensure stakeholders remain aligned as projects evolve.

  • Coordinate asset matrices, technical specifications, versioning, localization and final delivery, ensuring every team and channel receives the right creative in the right format at the right time.
  • Work with the Group Creative Director, fellow project managers and creative leadership to support resource planning, prioritize demand, identify capacity pressures and recommend practical solutions.
  • Protect agreed scope and timelines, assess the impact of changes and ensure trade-offs are made consciously rather than by default.
  • Identify risks, dependencies and blockers early; resolve what you can and elevate clearly when a decision or intervention is required.

Job description

This position requires in-person collaboration up to five days a week. This arrangement is subject to change based on business requirements.

Why WestJet:Since our story took off in 1996, WestJet has strived to enrich the lives of everyone in our world; a career with us is no exception. We’re proud to be one of Canada’s most admired and respected corporate cultures and continuously aim for the highest standards of service and success. Join us, this is where your career story takes off.

Overview of the role:

Great creative work takes more than a great idea. It takes someone who can turn ambition into a plan, connect dozens of moving parts and create the conditions for talented people to do their best work.

As Program Manager, Creative Studio, you’ll sit at the operational centre of The Studio—WestJet Group’s in-house creative team working across WestJet, Sunwing, WestJet Vacations and SellOffVacations.

Reporting to the Group Creative Director and working alongside the Studio’s other project managers and creative leaders, you’ll lead a portfolio of integrated creative and marketing work from intake and briefing through development, production, approvals and delivery.

This is a delivery leadership role, not simply a scheduling role. You’ll understand how campaigns are built, care about the quality of the work and balance creative ambition with business needs, timelines and budgets. In a team that operates with the energy and standards of an agency, you’ll bring clarity when work is complex, momentum when it gets stuck and calm when the pace picks up.

A little about you
  • You genuinely love advertising, marketing and creative work. You care about what is being made, not only when it is due.
  • You understand how an integrated campaign comes together—from a strong brief and initial creative thinking through production, channel delivery and launch.
  • You are exceptionally organized. You know where the work stands, what decision is needed next, who needs to make it and what could put delivery at risk.
  • You are comfortable working deeply within project-management platforms, keeping the system as current and useful as the conversations happening around it.
  • You can move comfortably between a conversation about the creative idea and one about scope, timing, budget, production or approvals.
  • You are proactive and anticipate needs, dependencies and roadblocks before they become problems.
  • You bring structure without unnecessary bureaucracy. You know when process helps the work and when it is getting in the way.
  • You communicate clearly and confidently, whether you are working with a designer, writer, senior leader, marketing partner, external agency or production company.
  • You are collaborative, candid and low ego. You can challenge constructively, manage expectations and bring people together around a shared outcome.
  • You are comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change, but quality and accountability still matter.
  • You take pride in the details while keeping sight of the broader business and brand objective.
