Qualifications

• Must have completed high school or an equivalent level of education.
• Some related experience in municipal cultural programs or community services.
• Supervisory or leadership experience relevant to program delivery.
• Valid St. John’s First Aid Certificate (SOFA) or equivalent certification.
• Submit valid First Aid and CPR certification at application or start date.
• Experience in the creative sector.
• Knowledge of common artistic media.
• Valid Driver’s License and access to a car.
• Experience in Collections Management or Heritage.

Responsibilities

• Interface with the public to support and facilitate programs from June to August.
• Plan, implement, supervise, and lead cultural activities for all ages.

• The candidate will interface with the public to support and facilitate the Paint in the Park and Music in the Streets programs from June to August.
• The candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, supervising, and leading a variety of cultural activities for children, youth, and adults.
• The candidate will provide guidance to volunteers on their program duties and ensure the safe and proper use of equipment and facilities.
• The candidate will perform duties within established guidelines while exercising independent action and initiative in leading and instructing assigned programs.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must have completed high school or an equivalent level of education.
• The candidate should have some related experience, preferably within municipal cultural programs or community services.
• The candidate must have supervisory or leadership experience relevant to program delivery.
• The candidate must possess a valid St. John’s First Aid Certificate (SOFA) or an equivalent certification.
