Job summary

Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst (Catalyst) empowers individuals and organizations to seize the opportunities and tackle the challenges of cybersecurity. The Catalyst is a not-for-profit corporation owned and operated by Toronto Metropolitan University and based in Brampton, ON. Hybrid work schedule with expectations of weekly days in the Brampton offices.

The opportunity

Are you dedicated to advancing cybersecurity education and innovation? We’re seeking a Program Lead to coordinate the development, implementation, and delivery of a variety of Catalyst Cyber Clinic programs, ensuring that participating stakeholders (including: partner institutions, consultants, mentors, advisors, Not for Profit (NFP) organizations, other cyber clinics) and other funders and collaborators are operating within the program’s framework and in accordance with the committed program outlines.

In this role, you will oversee the development and delivery of high quality and relevant resources and tools to facilitate successful cyber clinic programs. The successful candidate will coordinate efforts to reach and engage stakeholders across Canada as well as build new processes and systems that help achieve expected results. As a Lead, you will also measure and evaluate the success of KPIs and ensure the effectiveness of programming in meeting strategic outcomes for participating stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Oversees the lifecycle of Clinic programs; Plans, implements and monitors the complete lifecycle of priority programs. Works with the cyber clinic team to develop strategies to attract high-quality participants to the program. Coordinates outreach efforts to promote the program and application process to interested stakeholders.
  • Supports the development and implementation of innovative programming: Identifies and validates current and emerging needs of cybersecurity clinics and assesses alignment with the program’s overall goal and objectives, ensuring consistency with the Catalyst’s mission, vision and values. Conducts relevant industry research to identify trends and needs for the programs. This includes conducting environmental scans and needs assessment of current and emerging cyber clinics, post-secondary institutions, and NFP industry.
  • Advances design and delivery of priority programs: Ensures coordination and execution of tools, resources, training, in-person / virtual gatherings, and similar initiatives. Engage with diverse internal and external stakeholders to enlist their support, collaborate on delivery of programs, and achieve strategic KPIs and outcomes. Proposes solutions to enhance scale and impact, and anticipates and resolves program risks in collaboration with Senior Manager.
  • Leads administrative processes for Cyber Clinic programs: Oversees KPI tracking and reporting for internal and external reports. Escalates to the Senior Manager any concerns about meeting expected KPIs and suggests remediation activities and changes.
  • Community building and event coordination: Identifies events that will drive visibility for the Clinic programs and their stakeholders across the larger ecosystem. Participates in related industry events and makes presentations to promote Catalyst Cyber Clinic programs.
Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience implementing and monitoring program delivery, providing client support and guidance and program and resource development.

  • Strong interpersonal and client service skills to effectively deal with various stakeholders;
  • Ability to effectively write curricular materials, reports and proposals;
  • Public speaking skills to share the vision of the Cyber Clinic programs with and build the support of various stakeholders;
  • Flexibility and time management skills to allow efficient management of tight start-up and delivery schedule;
  • Research skills to conduct environmental scans and needs assessments, identify trends and modify program directions as indicated;
  • Ability to handle high pressure/high velocity environments;
  • Ability to perform quality work with accuracy, meeting all requirements and deadlines;
  • Organized and well versed in Project Management procedures for documentation and planning;
  • Competent in computer and web technologies.
