Program Evaluation Analyst
Education Strategy, Innovations and Development (ESID)

The Royal College, with over 55,000 members, aims to advance specialist physicians' learning to deliver optimal healthcare. It leads the evolution of specialty medical education, supports continuous improvement, and advocates for excellence in specialty medicine, emphasizing innovation, well-being, equity, and person-centered care. Established in 1929 as a national nonprofit, it oversees medical education for specialists in Canada.

Role Overview: Reporting to the Manager of ESID, the Program Evaluation Analyst plans, develops, and implements evaluation activities related to postgraduate medical education, including Competence by Design (CBD) and other strategic projects. The role involves collecting and analyzing data from various sources to inform program improvements, collaborating with internal teams, partner groups, and committees to align with strategic priorities.

Typical Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  1. Support implementation of evaluation projects associated with the CBD initiative.
  2. Coordinate multiple overlapping projects, manage timelines, communicate with contributors and partners.
  3. Conduct interviews, focus groups, and perform qualitative analyses.
  4. Design evaluation plans, develop data collection strategies and tools, and undertake data collection activities.
  5. Analyze and synthesize information to guide strategic initiatives.
  6. Advise on qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  7. Develop technical reports and communications, from conception to dissemination.
  8. Present trends and analytics to internal and external stakeholders to enhance programs.
Candidate Profile:
  • Master’s degree in social sciences or related discipline.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in research or program evaluation.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with mixed methods research.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Lookup functions, Pivot tables).
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience with systematic search strategies and research methodologies.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.

Salary Range: $67,670.00 to $84,537.00
