Description

The Department of Community Health Sciences in the Cumming School of Medicine invites applications for a Research Coordinator. This full-time fixed-term position is for approximately 12 months (based on grant funding) with the possibility of extension.

This position reports to the Principal Investigator.

A Program Coordinator is sought to oversee a research portfolio aimed at improving care, experiences, and outcomes for children, adolescents, and young adults facing cancer. Projects are primarily quantitative with an epidemiology focus, with occasional use of mixed methods. The Coordinator will also oversee the Patient and Family Advisory Council with the PI.

Key Responsibilities
  • Track and document progress for all research studies within the portfolio
  • Implement workflows and documentation to ensure team-wide adoption
  • Manage day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and timely completion, resolving issues as they arise
  • Prepare communication materials (questionnaires, reports, briefings, newsletters, presentations) and liaise with collaborators, stakeholders, and patient/family advisors
  • Coordinate ethical review submissions, data requests, and meetings
  • Manage knowledge translation outputs (websites, infographics, brochures) with graphic/web designers
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field (Master’s preferred)
  • At least 3 years of project management or research coordination experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Teams
  • PMP certification (asset)
  • Knowledge of research ethics standards and procedures
  • Experience with data management/analysis and REDCap (asset)
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
