Metro Vancouver is seeking a Program Assistant II to support the Liquid Waste Services Department with a wide range of administrative activities. You will lead a team of administrative staff, coordinate records management, onboarding, training, travel, and purchasing, and prepare reports and communications.
You will supervise five divisions, implement office support projects, and ensure efficient service delivery through process improvements and strong stakeholder relations.

Salary Range/ Wage Rate: PG T19 $2,689.03 - $3,164.63 bi-weekly
Our Liquid Waste Services Department is seeking a Program Assistant II who will play a key role in supporting department operations, programs, and projects through the coordination of a wide range of administrative activities. This position provides administrative leadership by streamlining processes, supporting recruitment, onboarding, training, records management, travel, and purchasing activities, and preparing reports, correspondence, and presentations. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, provide guidance and support to administrative staff, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness and service delivery.
You are: Responsible for coordinating and supervising administrative support services for five divisions within Liquid Waste Services. Reporting to the Manager, Utility Support Services, the Program Assistant II provides day-to-day leadership to Program Assistant I Team Leads and administrative support staff, ensuring consistent service delivery, workload management, and operational effectiveness across the department.
