Job summary

The City of Fort Saskatchewan is seeking a part-time fitness centre attendant to monitor our fitness and wellness facilities. You will ensure a safe, clean environment and provide outstanding customer service to members and guests.

Responsibilities include supervising the fitness centre and track, assisting with program setups, and preparing incident and inventory reports. A high school diploma and First Aid/CPR are required; additional fitness credentials are assets.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma and current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Fitness-related credentials or post-secondary education are assets.
  • General knowledge of health and fitness and fitness equipment.
  • Experience in a fitness & wellness centre and Alberta Fitness Leadership Certification are assets.
  • Exceptional customer service, positive work attitude, and team orientation.

  • Prepare reports such as incident/accident, statistical and inventory.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma and a current First Aid and CPR certification. Fitness-related credentials or post-secondary education is considered an asset. General knowledge of health and fitness and fitness equipment is required. Experience working in a fitness & wellness centre and an Alberta Fitness Leadership Certification are considered assets. Candidates must have exceptional customer service skills, a positive work attitude, and be able to work in a team environment.

This position is within the scope of C.U.P.E. Local 30, and as such, you will be required to adhere to the articles contained within the Collective Agreement.

Hours of Work: Minimum of 15 hours per week (Early morning, mid-afternoon, evening and weekend shifts)
