The Salvation Army in Calgary is seeking a full-time Resident Support Assistant to help with packing, storing and disposing of resident belongings, plus Laundry room duties and light housekeeping. The role operates 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, at the Centre of Hope downtown Calgary, with potential exposure to challenging situations.
Required are a High School diploma, Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, and First Aid/CPR.

This position provides support to Resident Support Workers and Resident Support Team Leaders, packing up, storing, and disposing of resident belongings left at our facilities; attends laundry room, does laundry, and light housekeeping duties.
Program Responsibilities:
May provide staff coverage at the West Desk as needed or assigned
Attends program operational planning days.
This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm , Monday to Friday.
Works in a men's residential housing facility located in our Centre of Hope downtown Calgary, May have to deal with aggressive people.
Potential for verbal, and less likely physical, attacks. Hours may vary; work schedule affecting lifestyle Exposure to infectious diseases Exposure to bodily fluids and sharp objects Risk of back injury. May experience monotony.
The target hiring range for this position is $19.19 to $24.00 with a maximum of $28.79. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
