Description:

We invite candidates from Indigenous communities, including First Nations, Métis, Inuk / Inuit, and other Indigenous groups on Turtle Island, to apply.

We seek a candidate with an MA in Indigenous Studies or a related field, capable of teaching courses focused on Indigenous resurgence and the Canadian context. The successful candidate will contribute to meeting the high demand for Indigenous Course Requirement (ICR) courses and support the department's commitment to Indigenization in our curriculum.

Qualifications:

  • MA in Indigenous Studies or a related field
  • Postsecondary teaching experience or experience within Indigenous education
  • Strong knowledge of Indigenous knowledge systems, histories, contemporary experiences, and pedagogies
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities and developing relationships with Elders and Knowledge Keepers
  • Understanding of colonial histories and their impacts in Canada

Compensation: Salaries are determined based on qualifications and experience, as per the collective agreement.
