Job summary

Ontario Power Generation Inc. is seeking a dynamic PEY student in Computer Science & IT for a 12-month, on-site contract starting May 2027.

The role offers hands-on experience mentoring with dedicated managers and exposure to real-world projects within a nuclear-regulated environment. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team on real-world initiatives, with opportunities to contribute to safe, reliable plant operations and development of project execution skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a full-time undergraduate degree at an accredited institution on a full-time basis or starting May 2027; must have completed 3rd year of a 4-year program or 4th year of a 5-year program.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to support operation of various systems.
• Contribute to achieving an integrated environment for safe and reliable operation of OPG’s plants.
• Assist with developing and executing projects in line with nuclear industry regulations using established project management processes.
• Maintain written processes and procedures reflecting improved operating methods across supported systems.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Key Accountabilities

Qualifications

• Pursuing a full-time undergraduate degree at an accredited institution on a full-time basis OR by the start of the opportunity in May 2027, will have completed 3rd year of a 4-year program or 4th year of a 5-year program.

• Will be returning to full-time studies in the same program following the completion of the work term.
• Currently enrolled and meets the minimum eligibility requirements for the Internship or Co‑op Program as defined by your academic institution. Superior analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills and demonstrated project management, organizational, and leadership abilities.
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt to new challenges
  Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with a proven aptitude for managing multiple tasks and priorities efficiently

The base salary range considers many factors including, but not limited to experience, education, and training, including any collective agreement requirements for union represented positions. The total compensation package for regular full-time management roles includes pay‑for‑performance programs for annual and medium time periods.
