Bruce Power offers a PEY Development Student opportunity for engineering students to join onsite at the Tiverton site in Ontario for 12-16 months. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting engineering teams across disciplines and contributing to real projects.

Responsibilities include data gathering, metrics tracking, and assisting in technical documents, with monthly reporting and a final presentation to the Engineering leadership.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in second, third, or fourth year of a confirmed co‑op program.
  • Minimum average of 70% GPA (B-).
  • Returning to full-time studies in the same program after the work term.
  • Actively enrolled in your institution's co‑op program and meet program eligibility requirements.
  • Currently enrolled in an Engineering degree in related discipline (Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Nuclear and Engineering Physics).

  • Gather engineering data to analyze, identify and resolve business issues.
  • Track, monitor and present metrics to improve the overall effectiveness and quality of data.
  • Support Engineers in preparing technical evaluations, solving problems and coordinating technical work to support engineering and operational plans.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical documents such as equipment specifications, engineering calculations, installation, testing, operating and maintenance procedures.
  • Provide assistance with monthly reporting cycle and related standards of documentation.
  • Deliver an End of Term Presentation to members of the Engineering leadership team to showcase accomplishments and learnings from your co‑op term.
  • Other duties as required.

Professional Engineering Year (PEY) Development Student:

Bruce Power is looking for dynamic, strategic and results-driven professionals to join our team in the role ofProfessional Engineering year (PEY) Student. Our opportunities are for Engineering students to join Bruce Power onsite for a period of 12-16 months. We have several exciting opportunities for students currently enrolled in an Engineering degree in a related discipline (Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Nuclear and Engineering Physics). The need and desire for an integrated team approach is critical at Bruce Power as we continue on a journey of excellence that will help drive our business forward. PEY development students are placed across the business to support special projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather engineering data to analyze, identify and resolve business issues.
