Job summary

Bombardier is seeking a Professional, Electro Mechanical Engineering with EWIS design expertise to design and route electrical harnesses in the DMU for business jet programs. You will lead EWIS development, ensure integration with systems, and support change management, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams in a dynamic aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• College diploma or university degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of relevant aerospace experience.
• 3+ years of CATIA V5 experience in harness routing; NX/Designcenter experience is a plus.
• Familiar with EWIS, wiring design and ECAD tools (Capital).
• Excellent communication in French and English.
• Proficient with MS Office and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and route electrical harnesses in the DMU of business jets.
• Responsible for EWIS design.
• Develop EWIS strategy and new harness concepts for current and new programs.
• Integrate EWIS with system, cabinet, and structure groups internally or externally.
• Provide technical support on change management (RFC, RFQ, PCR).
• Contribute to additional tasks as programs require and show flexibility.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Design and route electrical harnesses in the digital mock-up (DMU) of the business jets.
• Be responsible for the Electrical Wiring Integrated System (EWIS) design.
• Develop EWIS strategy and new harness concepts for current and new development programs.
• Integrate EWIS with system, cabinet, and structure groups internally or externally.
• Provide technical support on change management implementation (RFC,RFQ, PCR).
• Contribute by participating to other task depending on program needs and demonstrate flexibility to adapt.

How to thrive in this role?

• You have a college diploma or University degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical l Engineering, or equivalent work experience in harness 3D design.
• You have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in aerospace.
• You have over 3 years of CATIA V5 experience in harness routing, having NX/Designcenter harness routing experience would be an asset.
• You have wiring design, wiring installation and/or wiring troubleshooting experience and you are familiar with ECAD (Capital) tools & processes.
• You are familiar with FAR Part 25 subpart H and the certification rules addressing EWIS.
• You are familiar with SAE-AS50881 covering all aspects of EWIS.
• You have a strong sense of responsibility and have good organization skills.
• You must have excellent communication skills including the ability to read/write in French and English.
• You have proficient computer skills including Microsoft office suite.
• You are innovative and open to new ideas.
