Job summary

Fernie Brewing Company in Fernie, BC is seeking a Production and Warehouse Worker to operate our canning and keg lines, support Production, Warehouse and Distribution, and cover the Warehouse Associate as needed. This fast-paced, hands-on role thrives in a collaborative team environment.

Candidates must be able to legally work in Canada, be 19+ years old, hold a valid BC driver’s license, and have basic computer skills. Physical effort required: lift 55 lbs, move 130 lbs.

Qualifications

• Able to legally work in Canada.
• 19+ years of age or older.
• Valid class 5 BC driver’s license (or equivalent).
• Basic computer skills.
• Forklift Certification or experience is an asset.
• Experience driving larger trucks is an asset.
• Basic mechanical experience is an asset.
• Physically able to lift 55lbs and maneuver 130lbs.
• Detail oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

• Working on our canning line, including using specialized equipment such as our filler, labeller, cartoner, and palletizer.
• Picking and assembling orders.
• Safely operating company equipment and vehicles.
• Safe handling of chemicals as required for cleaning and sanitizing.
• Cleaning and organizing our Warehouse.
• Assisting in the Production, Warehouse and Distribution Centre departments as required.
• Driving product between our Distribution Centre and Brewery facilities on an as needed basis.
• Other duties as required.

What you'll be doing:

As a Production and Warehouse Worker, you will work on our canning and keg lines; assist in our Production, Warehouse, and Distribution Centre areas; and provide coverage for our Warehouse Associate (shuttle driver) as required. This is a fast-paced and varied role that requires a hands-on and proactive individual who thrives in a team environment.

Wage: Position starts at $20.64/hour which increases on a progression scale based on skill-mastery
