Tilray Brands, Inc. in Ste. Agathe is seeking a Production Technician to operate and monitor the production line for Fresh Hemp Foods Ltd. You will follow SOPs, ensure product quality, and support daily equipment maintenance.

The role requires 1 year in manufacturing, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; weekend OT may be required in a production environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience; food industry preferred.
  • Experience in processing and machine operation.
  • Mechanical aptitude for operating and maintaining equipment.
  • Knowledge of PLC controlled equipment is an asset.
  • Reading, writing and speaking English; able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and attend to manual and automated equipment in production.
  • Perform functions per SOPs while operating designated equipment.
  • Understand product through production process and rectify defects.
  • Disassemble, clean, sanitize and reassemble equipment as required.
  • Maintain materials readiness and keep area clean with housekeeping.
  • Perform product quality checks and minor equipment maintenance.
  • Document tasks and follow safety and food quality policies.

This individual will be responsible for the operation of equipment for the manufacture of various products and will ensure all work performed adheres to all organizational standards as well as safety regulations and guidelines. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO**:• Operate and attend to manual and automated equipment in the production process operation• Perform all functions as designated by SOPs while operating specified equipment• Understand and review the product through specified production process, recognizing areas of defect and taking appropriate actions to rectify them• Conduct all work to organizational standards to ensure final product meets quality standards• Disassembles, cleans, sanitizes and reassembles various pieces of equipment as required• Ensures materials and supplies are ready for use during the shift• Keeps work area clean and performs general housekeeping as required• Performs product quality checks as per procedures• Performs minor or daily equipment maintenance• Maintains all necessary documentation associated with tasks performed• Complies with all Safety and Food Quality policies and procedures• Ensure all equipment is operated according equipment manufactures instructions and safety guidelines are followed• Other duties as assigned by the organization**QUALIFICATIONS**:• Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment – food strongly preferred• Experience in processing and machine operation.• Mechanically inclined to operate machines, make adjustments or general maintenance• Knowledge PLC controlled equipment an asset• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs• Reading, writing and speaking English• Flexible and willing to work OT and weekends as required **WORKING CONDITIONS**:• Production Floor Environment• Ability to lift up to 50lbs• Stand for long periods of time• Exposure to hazards associated with the industry/trade• Use of required personal protective equipment• Operation and use of necessary tools, machinery, or equipment• Interacts with team members and managementAt Tilray Brands, we recognize the importance of comprehensive total rewards.
