We are looking for a Production Technician to join our growing team on-site in Hamilton, WA and Sedro-Woolley, WA. The role requires reading drawings, following work orders, using common hand tools, and maintaining a clean, safe, and FOD-free work area while adhering to 5S, AS9100, and Nadcap standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of manufacturing experience is preferred.
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read, understand and follow work orders, procedures, blueprints, drawings, and other technical documents.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English are required.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and follow pass-downs, work orders, isometric drawings, blueprints, and other documents.
• Receive and carry out directions from designated supervisors.
• Participate in training, safety, and quality programs.
• Keep work orders stamped, dated, and organized.
• Maintain attention to detail and quality.
• Identify and obtain tools and materials needed to perform the job.
• Follow safety practices and ensure a clean, organized work area.
• Follow 5S, AS9100 and Nadcap standards and practices.
• Set up scaffolding and safety barriers as directed.
• Properly execute Hazardous Material Disposal activities.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and FOD-free work area and equipment.
• Work in other cells to support production as needed.

We are looking for a Production Technician to join our growing team.

This position is located on-site in Hamilton and Sedro Woolley, Washington State.

Shift Differential

There is a $2 shift differential for all hours worked on the swing shift, $3 for weekday grave and weekend day shifts, and $5 for weekend grave shift.

Position Description

The Production Technician will perform a variety of duties and multiple uses of different skillsets. This work involves the wet lay of composite fabric, flow media and resin to create industry tooling, knowledge of vacuum integrity, spray foam, putty and/or chop application, Duratek prep and application, sanding, grinding, and aerospace tool finishing are additional job functions. Production Technicians at all levels are required to follow directions carefully, have basic mechanical knowledge, manual dexterity, good eyesight and the ability to perform repetitive tasks.

The following essential job functions are performed as a Production Technician:

• Reads, interprets, and follows pass downs, work orders, isometric drawings, blueprints, work instructions and other technical and non-technical documents.
• Receives and carries out directions from designated supervisors.
• Participates in training, safety, and quality programs.
• Keeps work orders stamped, dated and organized.
• Attention to detail and quality is required
• Identifies and obtains equipment, tools and materials needed to properly perform job function.
• Follows Janicki Industries Rules and Safety Practices and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Follows 5S, AS9100 and Nadcap standards and practices throughout all work performed.
• Sets up scaffolding and safety barriers under direction
• Properly executes Hazardous Material Disposal activities
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly, FOD free condition
• Knowledge and use of common hand tools
• Works in other Cells to support Production as required, i.e.; Mill or Assembly Cells

Qualifications

• Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).

Education/Experience

• Prior experience in composite or fiberglass fabrication and repair is preferred
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience
• High School diploma or GED required
• Must have the ability to read, understand and follow work orders, written procedures, blueprints, drawings, and other technical documents
• Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language

Additional Information

• Wage range for this role is between $22 - $45 an hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities
