Job summary

ADM is seeking a Plant Utility team member for our Midland, Ontario flour milling operation. This entry‑level role supports daily plant operations through sanitation, material handling, and basic maintenance in a large manufacturing facility.

You will work rotating shifts with overtime and weekends, focusing on food safety and workplace safety, and you will have opportunities to grow into operational roles as you gain hands‑on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and food safety protocols.
• Physical capability for labor-intensive tasks.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform sanitation and cleaning across the facility.
• Handle materials and assist with production processes.
• Support light maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Follow GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards.
• Work safely in heights, confined spaces, hot/cold/wet conditions.
• Lift up to 55 lbs (22 kg).

About the Position

In this role, you’ll support daily plant operations through sanitation, material handling, and basic maintenance while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and workplace safety are maintained.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform general sanitation and cleaning duties across the facility
• Handle materials and assist with production processes
• Support light maintenance and basic troubleshooting activities
• Follow and uphold GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards
• Work safely in a variety of environments (heights, confined spaces, hot/cold/wet conditions)
• Operate in physically demanding conditions, including lifting up to 55 lbs (22 kg)
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient production environment
• Complete all other duties as required to support operations

Experience And Education

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment
• Basic computer skills, numeracy, and attention to detail
• Ability to follow safety procedures and food safety protocols
• Physical capability to perform a range of labor‑intensive tasks
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekendsMechanical aptitude and interest in working with machinery
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous manufacturing or labor experience is considered an asset
