The Role :

As a Stamping Production Supervisor at Ford Oakville, you will do all that and more. We're investing to expand the Ford Oakville plant to produce the legendary F-Series Super Duty pickup truck. Make the next chapter of your career a long and legendary one: build the best plant from the ground up to build trucks that keep the world working.

You will lead a production team to foster a culture of excellence, focus, and collaboration. You will promote a positive culture through Servant Leadership and lead by example. Your success depends on your ability to ensure production schedules and quality targets are met across the department. You will deliver departmental scorecard objectives, own processes, and ensure standardization. Core functions include continuous improvement, inventory management, interdepartmental communication, and driving the Ford Production System as a change agent.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, evaluate, and empower hourly team members.
  • Build strong interpersonal relationships with team members.
  • Organize workflow to meet quality and productivity requirements.
  • Ensure safety, quality, cost, and productivity objectives are met.
  • Drive continuous improvement in product quality and production volume.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of finished goods.
  • Coordinate activities to eliminate bottlenecks and reduce scrap.
  • Address health and safety concerns and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Implement training for all team members.
  • Lead FPS implementation and standardize work processes.
  • Evaluate finished parts for quality and dimensional accuracy.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide resources to maintain production flow and standards.
  • Ensure quality outputs meet expectations and identify coaching opportunities.
  • Plan activities to improve performance and quality.
  • Achieve labor and budget targets.
  • Recognize and celebrate team accomplishments.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

  • College Diploma or Certificate.
  • Minimum two years in manufacturing supervisory or quality roles.
  • Ability to work all shifts, including days, afternoons, midnights, and weekends.
  • Willingness to travel outside Canada for training at other Ford sites.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience in high-speed Class A automotive stamping operations.
  • Knowledge of stamped panel quality and dimensional measurement.
  • Ability to lead, empower, and develop employees.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills.
  • Working knowledge of the Ford Production System and constraint management.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, including Six Sigma.
