Job summary

Safran Landing Systems in Mirabel manufactures major components of landing gear for Airbus and Boeing aircraft. A supervisor leads production teams, ensures on-time deliveries, and drives quality, safety, and continuous improvement on a shift basis.

The role requires a DEC/DEP plus at least 3 years of team management experience in aerospace manufacturing. The plant emphasizes Lean tools, SAP/MRP systems, and a strong HSE culture.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily operations of the shift to meet performance targets in production planning, quality, HSE.
  • Coordinate the work of production teams on the ground.
  • Ensure productivity and efficiency targets are met.
  • Track indicators (on-time delivery, scrap rates, machine downtime).
  • Lead daily production follow-up team meetings (QRQC).
  • Identify and coordinate resources for improvements and risks.

Safran Landing Systems is a subsidiary of Safran Landing Systems, a world leader in landing and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to the manufacturing of major components of landing gear for Airbus A320, A330, and A350 models, as well as the Boeing 787. It features state-of-the-art equipment for machining, polishing, and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening, and surface treatments.

The supervisor is responsible for ensuring the progress of production activities to ensure team efficiency.

Main Responsibilities
  • Monitor daily operations of their shift to ensure teams meet performance targets in production planning, quality, HSE, etc.
  • Coordinate the work of production teams on the ground
  • Ensure productivity and efficiency targets are met
  • Track indicators (on-time delivery, scrap rates, machine downtime…)
  • If necessary, prioritize follow-up on production progress
  • Ensure the transition between the previous and following shifts and, if needed, reassign employees
  • Identify and anticipate problematic situations or areas for improvement and coordinate resources to ensure efficient production
  • Guide, support, and supervise manufacturing employees (compliance with rules, communication, annual evaluation, approval of hours to be paid, etc.)
  • Manage schedule changes, overtime, absences, etc.
  • Support and participate in quality, continuous improvement, Health, Safety, and Environment efforts (IGP, 5S, risk analyses)
  • Promote the development of manufacturing employees' skills, including newcomers
  • Lead and participate in daily production follow-up team meetings (QRQC, …)

Sunday from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM

Monday to Wednesday from 11:30 PM to 7:00 AM

You finish on Thursday morning at 7:00 AM.
