Job summary

Vitalus Nutrition Inc. in Abbotsford, BC, is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily production activities, coach frontline teams, and uphold safety and quality standards on the floor.

You will allocate labour, coordinate with planning, maintenance and quality to minimize downtime and drive continuous improvement in a hands-on dairy processing environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in food manufacturing with supervisory or lead experience.
• Dairy production knowledge is an asset.
• Familiar with HACCP, GMP food safety and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Guide daily production activities to meet targets, quality standards, and schedules.
• Allocate labour effectively and adjust in real time to keep operations running smoothly.
• Coordinate closely with planning, maintenance, and quality to manage flow and reduce downtime.
• Lead, coach, and support front-line employees with clear expectations and daily direction.
• Run pre-shift huddles and safety talks that keep teams informed, engaged, and aligned.
• Support onboarding, cross-training, and ongoing development of your team.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead by example in hygiene, documentation, and procedural discipline.
• Support investigations and implement corrective actions when issues arise.
• Identify inefficiencies and lead practical improvements on the floor.
• Contribute to problem-solving, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Help implement new processes and ensure smooth adoption by your team.

What You’ll Bring

• 3+ years in food manufacturing, with supervisory or lead experience.
• Strong understanding of production processes—dairy experience is an asset.
• Working knowledge of food safety and quality systems (HACCP, GMP)
• A calm, accountable leadership style with the ability to coach and develop others.
• Sound judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
• Comfort working with ERP systems and production data (Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or similar).
