Job summary

Umicore Belgium is seeking a manufacturing associate for our automotive catalysts division in Canada. The role focuses on inspecting finished goods, adhering to stamping and labeling standards, and supporting quality control to meet customer specifications. You will work 12-hour continental shifts and play a part in safety programs.

The ideal candidate has a Grade 12 diploma and 2–3 years in manufacturing, with SAP exposure and basic MS Office skills. Criminal background checks are required.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • 2–3 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of 5S is a plus.
  • Computer literacy – Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of SAP and experience in quality environment systems are preferred.
  • Criminal Record Check required.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect finished goods to ensure stamping, packaging, and labeling standards are met.
  • Follow all safety rules and guidelines.
  • Produce products that meet Umicore quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Keep work area and nearby areas clean and organized.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work 12-hour continental shifts.
  • Uphold health and safety standards established by the company.
  • Promote a culture of care by collaborating on preventative measures and continuous safety improvements.

Your Key Accountabilities

This position is responsible for:

  • Inspection offinished goods to ensure that stamping, packaging, and labeling standards are met
  • Following all safety rules and guidelines
  • Producing products that meet Umicore quality standards andwithin customer specifications
  • Responsible for keeping work area and other areas clean and organized
  • Other duties as assigned
  • 12-hour continental shifts
  • Commit to upholding, respecting, and ensuring compliance with the health and safety standards established by the company guidelines.
  • Actively promote a culture of care by collaborating on preventative measures and continuous improvement actions related to health and safety activities
Who we are looking for

Education and ExperienceThis position's education and experience requirements are:

  • Grade 12 diploma
  • 2-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of 5S a plus
