Job description

Summary

Working with internal customers from various departments, the Production Coordinator is required to effectively coordinate the production workflow to ensure deadlines are met.

Duties And Responsibilities

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Execute Plant Standard Operating Procedures including Extrusion, Fabrication and Slotting into a 4‑week production schedule for regional assigned plants.
• Coordinate product transfer for shared production among sites.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Customer Service, Warehouse and Shipping to meet production and customer requirements, including executing schedule changes in coordination with Operations and Customer Service and working with Customer Service to improve on‑time deliveries.
• Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
• Work with plant managers and purchasing to arrange manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand.
• Establish and communicate weekly frozen schedule with Operations.
• Scheduling of Make to Order items – includes establishing dates, defining required upcharge or minimum QTY, filling orders to meet required ship dates and advising Customer Service team.
• Maintain inventory target on a monthly basis. Manage safety stocks effectively, account for stock transfer lead time and demand variability.
• Work with S&OP and Capacity analysis team to follow the strategy for long‑term planning.
• Review open orders in ERP system to ensure order fulfillment.
• Knowledge of master data including material master MRP, BOMs, routing and ECN process.
• Monitor and maintain MRP planning parameters for responsible manufactured items.

Education, Experience And Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field
• 5 years of supply chain or other relevant experience
• Proficient computer skills in MS Excel, Access, Word and Outlook.
• APICS certification is preferred.
• Experience with SAP/JDE is preferred.
• Able to multi‑task and display a high level of company/team spirit in a fast‑paced environment.
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
