Under the direction of the Supply Chain and Scheduling Manager, the Production Scheduler and Buyer is responsible for scheduling production to maximize efficiency. Also, responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced. Must promote a safe workplace and monitor activities.

What you are responsible for:

• Preparing and processing requisitions and purchase orders for raw materials
• Update and review standard costs
• Daily inventory cycle counts
• Able to schedule for all departments
• Continuously review processes and find ways to promote efficiencies
• Be able to develop and implement master schedule, and act as back-up for Supply Chain and Scheduling Manager
• Sponsor, lead, facilitate or participate in Kaizens to deliver department objectives.
• Supports all food safety initiatives, including (but not limited to) BRCGS, HACCP, GMPs, Allergens, GFCP, Kosher, Halal, Customer Requirements (Such as Costco standards and Kraft Standards)
• Ensure all activities maintain the food safety, authenticity, legality, and quality of our products
• Understandings principles of production sequencing, operating constraint optimization, planning constraint optimization, production scheduling adherence tracking, and action planning
• Collaborate with Customer service, QA, R&D, Shipping, and production
• Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or additional duties may be assigned at any time

What you need to bring to Embassy:

• HS Diploma or general education degree (GED) required, APICS certification
• Experience in Scheduling a food production schedule is an asset
• Must be familiar with ERP system
• Advanced PC skills and mathematical skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• High level of organizational skills, good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to Navigate ERP programs and scheduling programs
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Detail oriented and accurate in performance of work
• Enjoy working in a dynamic work environment with multiple demands
• Hands on with Awareness and high sense of urgency
• Highly organized/proven multi-tasker
• Technically proficient (self manages)
• Good interpersonal skills

Environmental conditions:

• Exposures to high-decibel environment, and dusty environment (non-toxic food ingredients)
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment and Respiratory Protection responsibly as per Embassy Procedures
