Job summary

Cameco in Port Hope, Ontario is seeking a production engineer to join the production team and drive process upgrades for health, safety, environment and production. You will monitor operations, optimize processes, provide technical support, lead equipment upgrades, develop SOPs and P&IDs, manage projects, and ensure compliance with site and regulatory standards.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, a P.Eng designation or eligibility, at least five years of experience, strong

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in a production/engineering role.
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field.
• P.Eng designation or eligibility.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to adapt in a changing environment and build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the safe and efficient operation of assigned process areas.
• Process optimization and development.
• Provide technical expertise and support to operations.
• Lead process and equipment upgrades.
• Develop and maintain process documentation (SOPs, P&ID’s).
• Manage and support projects, investigations and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with site & regulatory requirements, codes and standards.
• Conduct process safety assessments.
