Job summary

HiltonFoods Canada requires a Production Planner to manage site production planning, ensuring on-time delivery, stock optimization and cost control. The role involves creating both long and short horizon plans and coordinating material availability across production lines.

You will work on Quintiq and ERP systems to align forecasts, schedules and procurement with the Planning Manager, supporting an efficient, KPI-driven operation.

Job Title: Production Planner

Salary Range: CAD$68,250– CAD$80,900

PURPOSEOF ROLE

To manage all aspects of the production planning at sitein order to achieve the required Hilton standards of customer service level,production and stock movements, cost control and material optimization. To be aparticipant and team player within the Planning team, To be able to crossfunction within the Planning team, on the areas like forecasting and materialplanning

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Mainactivities of the business processes

• Create and maintain the long horizonproduction plan

• Providing suggestions to create betterproduction plans and keeping up to date
• Part of a positive working environment
• Providing clear data from salesperformance/production results to Planning manager
• Stock management of retail, primal and drygood
• Highlights potential issues to Planningmanager/management
• Checks production progress during day and week
• Reports to the Planning manager
• Create and maintain a production planning byusing the Quintiq application, ERP and procedures
• Ability to reschedule the daily productionplanning to for example other lines, other sequencing
• Signalling function from forecast dataprocessing through to daily production plan including communication ofplanning data and issues to all relevant departments
• Based on the most recent updated salesforecast produce and distribute daily production plans so that all dailysales orders are fulfilled on time, efficient production and logistics andrequired customer service level is achieved. Survey and communicatedetailed weekly planned needs for primal, packaging, production capacitiesand component usage by line and shift
• Be involved in stock control, procurement andlogistics at site. Proactivelyidentify stock shortages, communicating and resolving the issues andadvising Planning manager in regarding of purchasing and/or otherdepartments of potential service issues.
• Ensure efficient planning of production andtimely communication of planning data to relevant departments.
• Participates in meetings
• Participates in the roster to execute dailyoperation tasks
• Tracking production results/capacities
• Maintain and report, serv levels, upgrades,KPI’s
• Able to cover targeted tasks of other planningteam members in case of absence
• Cross trained in Material/Primal planningrole.
