Job summary

Hilton Foods Canada is seeking a Material Planner to manage all aspects of material planning to meet customer service, production, and cost targets. On-site role within the planning team, collaborating with Buying, Logistics and Operations to optimize material flow and supplier performance.

The successful candidate will forecast material requirements, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and product quality.

• Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, retail sector.
• Experience with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain the forecast of the material requirements.
• Check the short horizon material plan (day +0 and day +1).
• Tracking availability from suppliers and ensure materials are available on time.
• Monitor and report stock levels and shortages with low codes.
• Communicate with Buying/Intake/Production and Logistics to coordinate material flow.

We are currently recruiting for a MaterialPlanner. To manage all aspects of the material planning Hilton Foods Canada inorder to achieve the required Hilton standards of customer service level,production and primal movements, cost control and primal optimization and to bea strong participant and team player within the Planning team, to the Buying,Logistics and Operations team

Main activities of the businessprocesses

• Create and maintain the forecast of the material requirements
• Check the short horizon material plan (day +0 and day +1)
• Tracking availability from suppliers
• Secures all materials are available in time, quantity, and quality
• Check on material availability during the day
• Check Ingredients shelf life
• Maintain and provide shortage/low code reports
• Monitoring supplier performances

• Track stock management of materials
• Highlights potential material issues toPlanning manager/management
• Checks deliveries during day and week
• Communication withBuying/Intake/Production
• Create and maintain a materialrequirement plan by using the provided planning tools, systems, andprocedures
• Ability to reschedule the daily/weeklymaterial planning
• Tracking material stock levels on adaily base.
• Signalling function of potential issuesin shortages and lowcodes on Ingredients
• Communication with suppliers, providingforecast and consolidating quantities and delivery dates.
• Tracking deliveries from suppliers(day/quantity)
• Be involved in stock control,procurement and logistics at site.Proactively identify stock shortages, communicating and resolvingthe issues and advising Planning manager in regarding of purchasing and/orother departments of potential service issues.
• Ensure efficient material plans andtimely communication of material planning data to relevant departments.
• Participates in meetings
• Participates in the roster to executedaily operation tasks
• Communication within the team andsurrounding departments
• Maintain and report material KPI's
• Able to cover targeted tasks of otherplanning team members in case of absence
