CoorsTek, Inc. is seeking a Production Operator II (Quality Control/Visual Inspector) in Ontario to perform inspection, packaging, and data recording on a 12-hour night shift. The role requires basic math, measurement tool use, and strong attention to detail, with emphasis on safety and quality standards.

Applicants should have a HS diploma (preferred) and up to 6 months of manufacturing experience. A comprehensive benefits package and PPE coverage are provided.

Responsibilities

  • Operate basic production machines and adjust equipment per work orders.

  • Perform quality checks and package products per procedures.
  • Record production data and transfers using production software.
  • Move materials and finished goods; lift up to 50 pounds as required.
  • Maintain clean, safe work areas and wear PPE at all times.
  • Assist with training of incoming operators on processes.
  • Adhere to 12-hour night shift schedules and safety rules.

Job Title

Production Operator II (Quality Control/Visual Inspector)

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Operate multiple basic production machines and/or semi-automated production equipment to manufacture parts in compliance with work order instructions; make machine adjustments, perform basic troubleshooting, and contact appropriate personnel when needed.
  • Inspect parts and finished products to determine if they meet quality and customer specifications; take appropriate action concerning parts that do not meet standards.
  • Perform quality control checks and package products according to established procedures.
  • Transfer parts and production information using computer software and maintain accurate production records.
  • Load, unload, stack, and move materials and finished goods as required.
  • Lift materials and products periodically, up to 50 pounds.
  • Maintain consistent walking and standing throughout the shift while supporting production activities.
  • Clean and maintain work areas, machines, tools, and equipment to support safe and efficient operations.
  • Train incoming operators on processes, procedures, and established work instructions.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times in designated areas.
Job Requirements
Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
Experience
  • A minimum of six (6) months manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience operating production machinery and performing basic troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Understand and act on verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Read and interpret standard and metric measurements.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to navigate production software systems.
  • Knowledge of handheld measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, drop gauges, and other inspection tools.
  • Ability to assess product quality deficiencies and report issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Ability to perform basic machine troubleshooting and identify operational issues.
  • Must exhibit strong attention to detail and excellent listening skills.
  • Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical work for extended periods during 12-hour shifts.
  • Ability to periodically lift up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to dust and warm temperatures during summer months.
  • Requires use of company-provided personal protective equipment (PPE).
Schedule
  • Continental Night Shift: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM.
  • Every other weekend required.
  • Week 1 Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
  • Week 2 Schedule: Wednesday and Thursday.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Bi-weekly pay schedule.
  • Night shift premium of $2.50 per hour.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and pension plan.
  • Company-provided PPE coverage.
Target Hiring Range

Hourly: CAD 17.81 - CAD 21.72
