Job summary

Cotech produces equipment and metal components using advanced technologies in a state-of-the-art facility in Canada. We are seeking a Production Operator – CNC and Automation to actively participate in preparing, setting up, operating, and quality checking various CNC production systems.

Training is provided across laser cutting, CNC bending, machining, robotics, and automation, with strong paths to journeyperson or team-leader positions.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment or with CNC equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings.
  • Thoroughness, autonomy and a strong commitment to quality.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and manual skills.
  • Interest in new technologies and automation.
  • Experience in CNC programming or robotics.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and set up equipment before production begins.
  • Read and interpret work orders, drawings, and manufacturing plans.
  • Make the required adjustments during production.
  • Inspect manufactured parts to ensure their quality and compliance.
  • Participate in basic maintenance and help maintain equipment performance.
  • Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and material-handling equipment.

At Cotech, we manufacture equipment and metal components using advanced technologies such as:

  • 2D and 3D laser cutting systems;
  • CNC press brakes;
  • Robotic production systems.

We are looking for versatile individuals who want to develop their expertise across several types of modern manufacturing equipment.

Training is provided on a variety of technologies, including 2D and 3D laser cutting, CNC bending, CNC machining, robotics, and automation.

Your Role

You will actively participate in preparing, setting up, operating, and performing quality control on various CNC production systems.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare and set up equipment before production begins;
  • Read and interpret work orders, drawings, and manufacturing plans;
  • Make the required adjustments during production;
  • Inspect manufactured parts to ensure their quality and compliance;
  • Participate in basic maintenance and help maintain equipment performance;
  • Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and material-handling equipment.
