Job summary

Sensient Technologies in Kingston is seeking a skilled Production Operator for the 2pm - 10:30pm shift. This role is critical in supporting production activities including packaging, cleaning, formulation, and material movement.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma, the ability to lift 23kg, and flexibility to work various shifts. Excellent pay, benefits from day one, and a safe working environment are offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Calculate, weigh, and charge raw materials.
  • Operate processing equipment including blenders, mixers, mills, and dryers.
  • Weigh and label finished products, complete production documentation.
  • Perform in-process quality analysis tests.
  • Clean equipment and work area as per procedures.

We are looking for a Production Operator (2pm - 10:30pm, M-F) to join our team in Kingston and play a critical role in supporting a wide range of activities for the production process; including packaging, cleaning, formulation, and material movement.

What you’ll do:
  • Calculate, weigh, and charge raw materials. Operate all processing equipment including blenders, mixers, mills, dryers, etc.Follow all operating procedures written and verbal.
  • Weigh and label finished products, complete all production documentation.
  • Perform in-process quality analysis tests. Participate in continuous improvement programs.
  • Clean equipment and work area per standardized procedures.
What you’ll bring:
  • Ability to lift 23kg multiple times per day. Ability to work a 12-hour shift.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts.
  • Ability to operate and maintain equipment according to safety, environmental and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
  • Ability to work in an environment that is not climate controlled. Color and dust particles may be present in the air or throughout the facility. Allergens may be present in the air.
  • High School diploma or equivalent. (Prior chemical manufacturing experience preferred).

Position is available due to additional new headcount. The hourly rate for this position is $27.00 per hour CAD. Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.
