Job summary

Sensient Technologies Corporation in Kingston, Ontario, is seeking an Inventory Supervisor to ensure timely material availability, accurate inventory, and strong supplier relationships across purchasing, planning, warehouse, finance, quality, and product development teams.

The role is onsite to foster collaboration and hands-on inventory management, with responsibilities spanning purchasing, cycle counting, and production support. A comprehensive benefits program is provided.

  • Experience working with inventory control, material planning, or enterprise resource planning systems is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage purchasing activities, including supplier communication, PO documentation, invoice support, and delivery tracking.
  • Coordinate material replenishment, monitor supply availability, and elevate potential shortages that may affect production or customers.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier documentation, and support the setup of new suppliers.
  • Lead inventory management activities, including cycle counting, inventory adjustments, reconciliation, and investigations into inventory differences.
  • Review inventory levels, safety stock, and slow moving materials to reduce waste and improve inventory accuracy.
  • Support production planning by ensuring materials are available, warehouse transfers are completed on time, and inventory holds are resolved before production.
  • Partner with product development and suppliers to identify material risks, source new ingredients, coordinate sample shipments, and support material approval activities.

We are searching for a talented Inventory Supervisor to join our team in Kingston, Ontario. In this role, you will help ensure materials are available when needed, inventory remains accurate, and supplier relationships support efficient production. You will work closely with purchasing, planning, warehouse, finance, quality, and product development teams to support daily operations. This position is fully onsite to allow for collaboration across departments and hands on inventory management.

About Sensient Colors:

The salary range for this position is $65,000-80,000 CAD. Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.
