Job Responsibilities:
- Follow established safety protocols, report any H&S issues, and assist in near miss or accident investigations.
- Wear all personal safety equipment as required by the company.
- Maintain clean and safe conditions around work areas and equipment.
- Be flexible to work rotating 12-hour day and night shifts.
- Perform job set-ups, adjustments, startups, and shutdowns in accordance with specifications and standard operating procedures.
- Adjust the operating speed of machinery to meet optimal targets set by the company.
- Monitor, inspect, and report on safety, film quality, production, and equipment condition.
- Report findings to Supervisor or Specialist and work with them to resolve any causes of defects.
- Ensure the quality of film and raw materials meet or exceed customer and company standards.
- Participate in cross-training on other company equipment.
- Work overtime as required beyond standard work hours.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent in reading, writing, and basic math.
- Experience in industrial manufacturing, construction, or similar industry preferred.
- 3 years of flexographic printing and/or blown film multilayer extrusion experience is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of water-based print and/or blown film extrusion raw materials.
- Minimum 1 year of counter-balance forklift operating experience (recommended).
- Fluent in verbal and written English.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
