Job summary

Draganfly Innovations is seeking a hands-on Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations in Saskatoon. You will translate production goals into actionable plans, oversee daily build and test activities, and uphold Draganfly’s high standards of quality and reliability.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • MS Office 365 knowledge.
  • Ability to read assembly manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with Fusion, SolidWorks, 3D printing, composites, CNC, PCB fabrication, and electronics assembly.
  • Experience with MS Business Central or Dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day production across assembly, testing, quality, and inventory.
  • Convert production targets into actionable plans, schedules, and staffing models.
  • Manage daily production planning, work orders, and workload balancing.
  • Establish and enforce production standards, workflows, and documentation.
  • Track and report KPIs including output, quality, schedule adherence, and inventory accuracy.
  • Lead, coach, and develop manufacturing staff; oversee hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Build a culture of safety, accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Engineering and Production Engineering on new products, revisions, and ECO execution.
  • Oversee production-side inventory (WIP, finished goods, cycle counts) and support procurement.
  • Coordinate with Logistics and Shipping to meet delivery commitments.
  • Support contract manufacturers and third-party assembly partners
  • Drive corrective actions for quality issues and maintain full production traceability.
  • Act as the primary manufacturing interface for internal stakeholders.
  • Perform mechanical assembly and soldering as needed.
  • Conduct inspections, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and rework.
  • Balance tasks across workers to maintain production flow.
  • Support electronic production and test record keeping.
  • Collaborate with Customer Support on QA issues and corrective actions.

About The Role

Draganfly Innovations is seeking a hands-on, driven, and operationally minded Production Manager to lead the heartbeat of our manufacturing operations. This role goes far beyond managing a production floor — it’s about creating an environment where precision, quality, and teamwork come together to bring world‑class technology to life.

As the Production Manager, you will be the central force that keeps our manufacturing engine running smoothly. You’ll translate production goals into actionable plans, oversee daily build and test operations, and ensure that every product leaving our facility meets Draganfly’s high standards of quality and reliability. You’ll work closely with teams across Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and Logistics, ensuring that people, processes, and resources are aligned and moving in the same direction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day production across assembly, testing, quality, and inventory.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read assembly manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with Fusion, SolidWorks, and modern manufacturing methods (3D printing, composites, CNC, PCB fabrication, electronics assembly).
  • Experience with MS Business Central or Dynamics.
  • TC RPAS operator license (basic or advanced).
  • Class 9 (lithium battery) handling experience.
Compensation Package
  • Competitive salary: $52,729 – $85,000
