About This Role:

Workplace Arrangements:

This role will follow a hybrid remote/onsite schedule. Applicants for this role can expect to work on-site from our Ottawa Head Office, on Walkley Road 3 days a week and there will be occasional trips to our Montreal Buying Office as needed.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Translate the merchant vision into production priorities and resource allocation to support business objectives and successful assortment execution in the Bedding, Bath, Beauty, Footwear, Accessories and Handbags categories.
• Oversee product development and production execution across the assigned portfolio, ensuring merchandising strategy and quality, cost, and delivery objectives are achieved through effective team and supplier performance.
• Manage cross-functional collaboration to ensure assortments are produced and executed as intended, achieving product, quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance, including supplier selection, negotiations, production capability, quality, and delivery performance.
• Proactively identify and mitigate production, sourcing, and commercialization risks to protect assortment delivery and supply continuity.
• Optimize product development, sourcing, and production processes to improve speed to market, product quality, supplier performance, and overall cost efficiency.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Product Development, Fashion Design (is an asset, not required), Retail Management, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive experience in product development, sourcing, production, fashion design and/or commercialization within a retail environment.
• Demonstrated experience partnering with Merchandising and Design teams to develop and deliver customer-focused assortments from concept through production and delivery.
• Strong knowledge of product development, sourcing, manufacturing, quality, packaging, commercialization, and critical path management processes.
• Proven ability to negotiate cost of goods, manage supplier relationships, and deliver against margin, quality, timing, and assortment objectives.
• Strong project management, organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and PLM systems.
• Passion for the product and experience leading a team.

Travel Requirements

• International travel up to once per quarter

Salary

$84,200.00 - $126,300.00

Short Term Incentive Plan

Bonus - Short-Term Incentive Plan, 15% Annual

Bonus - Management Profit Sharing Plan (MPSP), 15% Annual

Short Term Incentive Plan : This role includes an annual bonus opportunity based on the percentage of base salary listed above, with payout determined by company and individual performance.
