Mission:

The Production Manager oversees the packaging department, supervising and coordinating all production activities. You will manage human, material, and financial resources to ensure efficient, timely, and quality production, maintaining safety standards.

Position Overview:

• Manage human resources to support production goals
• Lead your team to produce quality products safely
• Determine staffing needs based on production plans
• Develop and train department staff to meet organizational objectives
• Implement health & safety, quality, service, productivity, waste reduction, and cost plans
• Promote the company's Lean culture
• Develop and present improvement projects
• Coordinate daily activities within the department and with support functions
• Manage and improve production systems
• Develop standards and annual budgets
• Assess equipment installations
• Participate in purchasing decisions for equipment and plant upgrades

Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or related field
• 3-5 years' experience in manufacturing management
• Expertise in LEAN and continuous improvement
• Experience managing around 100 employees (asset)
• Bilingual in French and English
• Customer-focused and results-oriented
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills
• Strategic thinking and quick decision-making abilities
