Job summary

Islands West Manufacture Ltd is seeking Full-time Production Line workers to join a team in producing high-quality fruit and vegetable items for food service and retail markets. You will operate dicers, cutters, slicers, shredders, and packaging equipment, while maintaining safety, cleanliness, and HACCP standards.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and availability for full-time shifts including weekends, in a refrigerated environment.

Qualifications

• Food Safe Level 1 required (Islands West to provide).
• Hepatitis A vaccination required (Islands West to provide).
• Ability to bend, twist and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand/walk for full shift and work in a refrigerated environment.
• Full-time availability, including weekends.
• Knife skills to be learned on the job.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team to manufacture high-quality fresh fruit & vegetable items for food service and retail markets.
• Learn to use dicers, cutters, slicers, shredders, and packaging equipment.
• Maintain quality and freshness of produce throughout the department.
• Follow company policy on production and safe equipment use.
• Prepare production products, including processing mixes and required equipment.
• Clean and sanitize production areas between switchovers and at shift end.
• Ensure equipment safety and adherence to HACCP policies and procedures.
• Operate or perform other duties as directed by the Production Manager/Assistant Manager/Supervisor.

We are looking for Full-time Production Line workers to work in a team-based setting, operating various equipment and/or performing tasks that contribute to the production of high-quality produce. Ensuring production targets are met in a timely fashion while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with a team to manufacture high-quality fresh fruit & vegetable items for the food service and retail markets.
• Learn to use dicers, cutters, slicers, shredders, and packaging equipment.
• Help ensure that the quality and freshness of produce are always maintained throughout the department.
• Employee must follow company policy regarding the production of food items and the proper use of equipment. Including:
• Preparation of all production products, including processing mixes, cut sizes and equipment needed.
• Clean and sanitize production areas between product switchovers and at shift end.
• Equipment safety.
• Critical Control Points of bleach and sulphites.
• Must understand and work within all HACCP policies and procedures.
• Operate or perform other duties as directed by the Production Manager/Assistant Manager/Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
