Job summary

Great Northern Insulation is hiring General Labourers for our Nepean, ON location. You will help insulate attics and walls, perform related paperwork, and assist with loading/unloading tasks on active job sites.

We value teamwork, safety and a strong work ethic. Candidates should have relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.

Qualifications

• Experience in drywall, taping, roofing, landscaping, construction or insulation is an asset.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract.
• Comfortable working at heights and in tight spaces.
• Team-oriented with strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends when required.
• Basic reading, writing, math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with insulation of attics, walls, and similar areas using fiberglass batts.
• Accurate and on-time completion of paperwork; loading/unloading materials and equipment; site cleanup.
• Work Monday to Friday with occasional weekends; start times as early as 6am.

Great Northern Insulation is currently recruiting for full-time General Labourers for our Nepean, ONlocation!

Standard Job Duties:

• Help with the insulation of attics, walls, and other areas using materials such as fiberglass batts
• Duties also include accurate and on-time completion of paperwork, loading/unloading materials and equipment, job site clean-up, and various maintenance tasks as needed
• Ability to work Mon-Fri (occasional weekends), start time as early as 6am with flexible end times

Work Environment:

• Installers work in pairs on a variety of job sites
• Work both indoors and outdoors
• Work can occur in confined spaces such as attics and crawlspaces
• Working at heights
• Standing, bending, lifting and ladder use
• Wearing PPE such as safety boots, safety glasses, gloves, masks/respirators, and overalls
• Use of common handheld power tools.
